News readers,

Well, the new year is upon us ! Heck January is almost over...where does time dissapear to these days ? 2007 looks to be a great year for the hobby, I know of several nice cars emerging from restoration and the ever-growing Modern-Mopar fan base must be pleased with Daimler Chryslers announcement that they will be hitting the Australian market with the Dodge brand in full force.

The younger brethren aptly nicknamed "Modern-Mopar" under the Dodge label has many exciting and fresh things to offer the Australian market. Like most new cars, it will be very much a love or hate scenario with the Aussie consumer with the Dodge brand here very much associated with commercials and big-bodied cars like the Phoenix. Personally I like what they new Dodge cars have to offer, in a sea of Ford, Holden and various asian vehicles it's refreshing to see a brand that is close to our hobby. I saw my first Dodge Caliber on the road the other week and a few days later we had one visit the shop. I had the chance to look over it closely and was very impressed by the workmanship and design. It really was a sight, 6 of our staff members in our car-park gawking at every little detail of this Caliber whilst parked next to no less than 8 Valiant Chargers ! I am sure it was unanimous, we all went warm and fuzzy inside when we saw the MOPAR logo etched into every piece of glass.

Take the time to check out the new range of Dodge cars if you get chance....they look great !

Take care
