Dear Readers,

Please be advised that we have just had confirmation that the server has been victim of an "email spider" scan and an automated spoof email program is sending email containing virus related attachments. The content of the email is as follows:

Dear Moparmarket Member,

Your e-mail account was used to send a huge amount of unsolicited spam messages during the recent week. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and confirm the attached document so you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to cancel your membership.

Virtually yours,

Email spiders and spoof emails like this are fairly common and are just about impossible to prevent or trace. As an internet user, everyone should be very diligent at a personal level to ensure their virus protection is up-to-date and also that they do not open any suspicious attachements assocatiated with such emails. Also be advised that will NEVER send an email message containing an attachment, instructions to complete forms, ask for member infomation or request account validation.

kind regards,
