In 1973 I read an article in a motor magazine about the mythical R/T 340 Charger that the super car scare killed. What a car it could've been. I had to have one. Inspired by a second article some thirty years later I started my dream. So here it is - not quite finished, but she certainly turns heads.

340ci (via '68 Cuda)
650cfm spreadbore Holley on
Edelbrock performer manifold
Pacemaker headers with dual 2.5" system
T5 transmission (via EL Fairmont)
Disc break diff (via EL XR8)
Rack and pinion power steering (via VH Commodore)
298mm front disc breaks
Factory aircon
ROH 14"x7" alloy rims
Diablo Red paint (via GMH)
Custom interior - seats by SAAS

This thing may have more mods than Michael Jackson. . . (too soon?). . . But I think Chrysler Australia, with the appropriate manhood, could have produced something with similar specs. She may have started life as a 245ci column auto, but she'll now scare any sensitive car alarm on start-up.

Still to come:
Power windows
Remote central locking
Foolly sik sound system (or not)
