This is my first valiant and my first attempt at a complete resto. I picked the vg hardtop due to it being a tough looking 2 door coupe which will seat six people for cruising and will accept a big block for the odd squirt.
I purchased a rolling car in September 2013 and have been slowly learning to shape , craft and weld thin metal ever since .
Planning to add subframe connectors , widen the transmission tunnel , possibly moving the rear springs into chassis rails and enlarge rear wheel tubs.

Already have the 400 block ,440 steel crank , 727 tranny disc 9" with 3.7 lsd and some 4 spot calipers so intending to more of a sleeper/cruiser

This is my valiant and this is where I am starting from in this journey.
It has from what I have seen fairly normal rust for a valiant hardtop but luckily not as bad as some others . The only crash damage is the left front corner of the car . Both the quarter panels , roof , doors , bonnet , sills and boot are all straight .
Rust wise both guards , sill ends , windscreen pillars , fuel filler in boot floor , drivers floor , around rear window , rh taillight , rh chassis rail , lh door frame , door catches and either side of the roof in upper window channel.
So it's been one repair at a time slowly working my way around the car
